Pottawattamie County Health Covid 19 Update

Late 2019 and through today Pottawattamie Public Health Department has been navigating COVID-19 Pandemic.  Being the newest and one of the smallest Health Departments in the state capacities had to be scaled up in areas of Disease Investigation and Mass Vaccine Clinics.  Maria Sieck, Public Health Administrator took the role of staffing, Jacob Head, Safety Coordinator  created training platforms, while Garfield Coleman, Risk Manager, Nick Jedlicka, Director Veterans Affairs, Matt Wyant  prepared, planned and executed multiple areas from contact tracing, mass vaccine clinics to communications.  This leadership team knew we had to be prepared at a local level for whatever was coming next from the Federal or state level and the virus.   Information was very critical throughout this event and continues to be as we forge our path forward making sure that the elected leaders and public have accurate local information.
