Five Rotary Clubs are having a family fun day for Cape Town families. We would like to show off some of our successful projects, and at the same time, give families the opportunity to have an exciting day with lots to do at the Blue Train Park.

The event is planned for Sunday, April 12th from 10am to 4pm within the grounds of the Blue Train Park, between the Light House and Putt-Putt on Beach Road, Mouille Point.

The Blue Train in Mouille Point has been a feature on the beach front for the past 60 years. The Rotary Club of Sea Point, took over its management in 2006 and with its partners have made major investments to improve the train and the park. It’s time to show off how this wonderful old train and the park have been upgraded with many activities for children.

The event is open to the public to meet Rotarians, see some of our projects in action, and will be  a great day for kids to ride on the recently refurbished mini blue train, play on jumping castles,. sit in a NSRI boat and see Rotary and Shelter Box disaster tents. There will be pony rides from 10.30 to 12 noon, Puddles the clown from 12 to 1, and a petting zoo from 1 to 3 pm.

Entrance is free to enter the Blue train park. Train rides and use of some of the events will cost a nominal amount to cover expenses.

Vendors and Rotarians will provide delicious food. A R10 per ticket raffle with great prizes will also be available.
