President & President-Elect Meeting

I will chair the meeting on behalf of DG Juliet who will be away that night. The focus of the meeting will be on goal setting for the Presidents-elect. The intent is to offer some ideas about good club goals for the coming year. Current presidents can help offer ideas of what worked or didn’t work for the goals they set last year. I plan to offer a few ideas about membership and District Rotary Foundation Chairwoman (DRFC) Anna-Mae Kobbe will do the same for foundation goals. The bulk of the hour will be time for discussion about goals. This should be helpful to the club leadership.

One other item for your consideration is the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) session this coming June 11-15 at Messiah University. We have 58 students signed up with sponsorship by their supporting clubs. Thank you to the clubs that have sponsored 1, 2, or in a few cases 3 students. This commitment to our youth is most appreciated. Annually, District 7390’s RYLA team accepts over 100 high school students who have completed their junior year. If your club has not yet had a student sign up for RYLA, please consider offering to support one student. Cost is $525 per student. RYLA has extended the application deadline an extra week to allow a few more clubs to sign up students. Please consider adding a sponsored student to the RYLA experience.
