A DAY OF SERVICE is an opportunity for all clubs in District 7390 to come together and engage in that one practice at the core of our common identity – SERVICE. We have set our District 7390 Day of Service for Saturday, April 21, 2018. We are asking each club to identify a service project they would like to undertake on April 21. The service project can also be completed in collaboration with other clubs.

Ready to get started? Follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. TELL YOUR CLUB MEMBERS: District 7390 Day of Service—Saturday April 21, 2018.
  2. Each club should pick a project they would like to undertake either by themselves or in collaboration with another club(s). We all share a common goal and mission: SERVICE. When you pick your project make it exciting for your members and encourage participation!
  3. Contact DGN Paddy Rooney and tell him about your project. He will keep a current list of projects so District Leadership can visit the projects to offer support and encouragement.
  4. Assign someone in your club to take pictures during the service project. Pictures should be forwarded to office@rotary7390.org and umartone@leadershipharrisburg.org for publication on our website and Facebook page. Videos would also be a great idea! They can be forwarded or shared as well.

FYI:

  1. Examples of projects: community clean-up, tree planting, working with children and youth, working with Habitat to build houses or playgrounds, or any similar type of project that is going to improve our communities.
  2. While this day is about service and not competition, it is possible the club with the highest percentage of members participating in the Day of Service will be recognized at our District Conference on April 28, 2018 in Harrisburg.
  3. Relay information on your project no later than Friday March 30. Send to DGN Paddy Rooney at dgpaddy2019@gmail.com. Call or text 717-870-1154. He will keep a current list of projects throughout the District.

Thanks in advance for your willingness to participate in the District 7390 Day of Service! If DGN Paddy does not hear from Club Presidents by February 19, he will be follow-up with the Clubs to check on planning.

Don’t wait. We are looking for 100% participation by all 43 clubs in our District.
