Inspired by the local news showing people gifting items to recent high school graduates who missed their Senior Prom and were not able to walk across a stage to celebrate, the Rotary Club of New Orleans decided to pass the hat to recognize this year’s Warren Easton Interact Club seniors. The 7 graduates received Rotary Responds Ice Chests, some goodies, a personalized sign, and a $100.00 gift card. My heartfelt thanks to the members of our Club who enthusiastically volunteered to contribute to this wonderful project. This was a proud moment for our Club which will long be remembered and cherished by the students , their parents, and staff at Warren Easton. The smiles on their faces were priceless. The interact Supervisor, Ms Rosetta Milner, was glowing with appreciation and beaming with a special sense of pride that New Orleans Rotary thought enough of The Interact Students to make a special contribution to each of them... especially the generous nature of our gifts.
