Mark Graffagnini is the founder and Managing Partner of Cara Stone, LLP, a national law firm focused on transactional law, securities, and corporate litigation. Mark has been selected as a "Super Lawyer" in the field of securities law for multiple years in a row and has significant experience representing public and private companies. Mark has successfully represented clients through various rounds of financing, exit, crisis management, and scale. Many of his clients have already had successful exits. Mark works on over 20 venture stage deals a year, and Cara Stone represented clients in over $1 billion in 2018. Mark is an active and successful angel investor and is an active Public Policy Advisory Committee member of the Angel Capital Association.

Tom McAlister

I am a commercial real estate and business attorney with the law firm of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert and have been in practice since 1983. I was born and lived in Houston until 1986, at which time my wife (Nora Feibleman McAlister) and I moved to New Orleans so my wife could be closer to her family, being the native she is. I graduated from Rice University in 1980 and University of Houston Law School in 1983. My wife, Nora, and I have lived in Old Metairie at the same house since 1991 and have two children, Timothy and Emma, both of whom are now grown, with Timothy attending law school in New York City and Emma in her senior year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh where she will graduate this spring with a degree in classical voice (opera). I have practiced law with my colleagues here at Sher Garner off and on since our days at McGlinchey Stafford in the 1980’s. My hobbies include golf, hunting and fishing.
