Dr. Ron Faucheux is a writer, polling expert and nationally respected nonpartisan political analyst.
§ He’s consulted in over 250 political and issue campaigns in all 50 states and on five continents. He publishes the popular daily newsletter on polling, Lunchtime Politics, with over 6,500 subscribers nationwide.
§ He graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also holds a Ph.D. in voter behavior from the University of New Orleans and a law degree from LSU. He has taught courses in politics at Georgetown and George Washington Universities.
§ Dr. Faucheux appeared over 300 times on national network television programs and has been interviewed by hundreds of newspapers, radio stations and magazines across the globe.
§ He’s written for the Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic and The Washington Post.
§ A former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and state Secretary of Commerce, he’s currently an analyst for WWL-TV, WWL radio and writes columns for the Times-Picayune and the Advocate papers in Louisiana.
§ Author of the popular book for political candidates, Running for Office, he was a presidential appointee to the National Archives' National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
Members of Club (Mike Leitzinger, Karl Koppy, John Olinde, Penny Menge, Norman Robinson and Tara Knowles) attended the District 6840 Conference May 19 – May 22nd and enjoyed an afternoon sharing Jello Shots with other clubs in District 6840 Food Fest. Everyone had a great time!
Eight members of the Rotary Club of New Orleans (Penny Menge, Karl Koppy, Mary Bonfanti, Jay Aronson, Buddy Wollfarth, Peter Waring, Norman Robinson and Henry Lowentritt) had the pleasure to meet 20 families impacted by this year’s devastating tornado in St. Bernard Parish. Funds raised by the membership and District 6840 Disaster Grant, allowed the Club to provide teachers and other families who lost their homes or sustained substantial damage gift cards for $350 to assist with immediate needs.
Seven members of The Rotary Club of New Orleans (Walter Antin, Denny Ebersole, Andre Rubenstein, Karl Koppy Penny Menge, Peter Waring, and Barry Box) volunteered early Thursday, May 12th at Grace at the Greenlight to serve 92 meals to the homeless and hungry. Rotary in action! Thank you to those who participated!
