Rotary Club of New Orleans - Orleans France Rotary Sister Club

In honor of our sister club, Orleans France Rotary, the Rotary Club of New Orleans will celebrate Bastille Day July 14th by asking members to wear red, white, and blue to our weekly meeting.  You will see a French flair in the menu as well as table decorations.  Please join the celebration by wearing something festive.

New Orleans Rotary and Orleans France Rotary have come together to form a Sister Club.  Rotary International encourages clubs to form sister relationships to emphasize service and friendship and to enhance the understanding of another culture.  We chose to initiate a request to Orleans France after friendships were made during the October 2018 USA-France Intercountry Committee Peace Seminar held at Loyola University in New Orleans.  Randy Feldman is currently the Secretary of this RI USA-France Intercountry Committee.  Our local organizing committee is made up of Gayle Dellinger, Chair, Randy Feldman, Vanessa Clincy, translator, Mark Fullmer, Roy Saldago , Vicki Gutierrez, non Rotarian, and Heather Kirk.  We welcome your participation if you wish to join the Sister Club and build this relationship with Orleans France.  Our long term goals include a service project that we can work on together and visits to each others home city. A Rotary Friendship exchange would also be a great goal and a trip to France sounds really appealing!
The Rotary Club of New Orleans Induction Ceremony

School Supply Backpack Giveaway – WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Once again, the Rotary Club of New Orleans will sponsor the “School Supply Backpack Giveaway”.  Whether returning to in-person classes or virtual learning, children desperately need our help to prepare for their return to school.  You can support this project by making a donation or by filling a backpack with the necessary supplies.  Donations can be made by credit card on-line at www.NORFINOLA.org  designation for Backpack Project.  You can also sign up at a meeting to include a donation on your quarterly statement.  Checks can be made payable to The Rotary Club of New Orleans and mailed to: Penny Menge 800 Valmont St. New Orleans, LA 70115.   Zelle or Venmo is also available to:  pennymenge@gmail.com
2022 Big Game Raffle
Once again, our club will participate in selling Big Game Raffle tickets.  The proceeds from the ticket sales are used to fund our charitable initiatives.  It’s really a fun way to donate to worthy causes.   There is a great list of prizes including tickets to LSU, Saints and Pelican home games.  The tickets are still only $20 each with 100% of the money going to service projects.  There is a good chance to win one of over 40 prizes.  Last year, Heather Trosclair and Sonny Lee had winning tickets.

Tickets will be available at our weekly meeting or by mail if you prefer.  Please make checks payable to Rotary Club of New Orleans and mail with stubs to Karl Koppy, 800 Valmont Street, New Orleans 70115.  The drawing will be held on August 26th

Contact Karl at 713-503-0401 or kkoppy23@gmail.com if you have any questions or need additional tickets.

Thanks for your continued support.
