Jeanette Rose “J.R.” Weiland is the Vice President of Bio, Innovation, & Special Projects at the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA). Before joining NOLABA in 2018, she began working with Ochsner Health in 2015 as a finance fellow and later as a financial operations manager. Prior to entering the healthcare finance field, she worked in the financial services industry as a Registered Representative (Series 7 & Series 66) and was awarded a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. 

Jeanette and her husband are the proud parents of two young children as part of the Isidore Newman School community.  Ms. Weiland is a current board member of the New Orleans Garden District Association, Louisiana BIO, KIDsmART, and is completing a fellow program of the Charter Board Leadership Academy (CBLA) via the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools (LAPCS), while she eagerly awaits her second published children’s book to hit the shelves in September 2020.

Ms. Weiland graduated from Louisiana State University- Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Trade and Finance, and received both her Master of Arts in Arts Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of New Orleans.
