Rotary Luncheon at the National WWII Museum-Jun 11th

Get ready for our field trip to the National WWII Museum on Wednesday, June 11th! Please respond if you plan to attend.  Your deadline to reply is 3 June 2025.

·        Lunch (12–1 PM) is free for members.  Lunch options (all box lunches) are the following (1) TURKEY & PROVOLONE, French Bread, Lettuce, Tomato (2) ROAST BEEF & CHEDDAR, French Bread, Lettuce, Tomato (3) VICTORY GARDEN SALAD with House Dressing

·        All boxed lunches include: POTATO CHIPS, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE, BOTTLED WATER, CONDIMENTS (mayonnaise & mustard)

·        Guests are welcome (if we have fewer than 35 members sign up – so if you would like to add a guest, let us know and we will put them on a waiting list until 3 June 2025)— lunch for guests is $30.

After lunch, you can stay and tour the museum.  Tour tickets are an additional charge which individual Rotary members and guests pay for on their own.  If you’re a senior (65+), military (active, retired, veteran, or spouse), or a college student — there may be discounted pricing.

·        Current ticket estimates:

o   Adults/Seniors: $25–$36

o   Military/Students: up to $26

o   Add a film: $45–$48 (optional)

Prices may change – you may find more information on the WWII Museum website.

Please RSVP to Tara ( taraknowles@nolavirtualsolutions.com) with your lunch choice for yourself and any guests (who will be on a waiting list), and let us know if you plan to stay for the museum tour!

New Member Pairing/Buddy System
As part of our continuing effort to strengthen connections within our Club, we have launched a new Pairing/Buddy System, where each member is assigned to a small group of fellow Rotarians. The goal is simple: stay in touch regularly, whether by text, phone, email, or in person. Just a quick check-in every week or two can go a long way in building stronger bonds and ensuring we’re supporting each other like the Rotary family we are.
Each member should have received an email from John Olinde with your group assignment and contact details for your group members. If you didn’t receive the email, please:
  • Check your spam folder, or
  • Reach out to John directly at johnfolinde@gmail.com
We encourage you to take a moment each week to connect with your group members. This is a simple but meaningful way to engage more deeply with fellow Rotarians and foster our core value of fellowship.
Thank you for your participation in this initiative, and let’s continue to make our Club a place where strong connections thrive.
Call for Speakers
Our club is seeking input from members on what kind of speakers you would like to see going forward.  Please forward all suggestions to Seth Nehrbass, SNehrbass@gmail.com
The Four Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:
Of the things we think, say or do:

1.     Is it the TRUTH?

2.     Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3.     Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4.     Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Member Spotlight
If you would like to be featured in our member spotlight, please upload your photo and complete your bio in our member directory. You can access the directory here .  When complete, just send an email to alanc@ldcv.com and let me know you’d like to be added to the rotation.

Thank You,
