Marley Marsalis, our Joan of Arc Scholarship recipient, has arrived in Orléans and is being housed and entertained by the Orléans Rotary club members. They have an extensive schedule of activities and events planned for her and her mother, but this year something special is occurring in the city and Marley gets to participate. From June 26 to 30, Orléans is transformed into a gigantic musical stage for the second edition of the Grand PianO Festival! Something to delight all generations. This year, Orléans is welcoming a multitude of artistic proposals in public spaces, businesses, and cultural and heritage places, celebrating the piano in all its forms. Marley will play the piano on the stage on Thursday during this international piano celebration. What an exceptional opportunity for our Maid of New Orleans. She will visit our club and share pictures and stories of her visit at an upcoming meeting. |
