Our French guests from Orléans — Capucine Delaloy, Jeanne d’Arc of Orléans, along with leaders of the Jeanne d’Arc Organization — visited New Orleans January 3–10 for a week of cultural exchange, history, and celebration. Highlights included visits to St. Louis Cathedral, the Cabildo, Houmas House, the Garden District, and a special send-off at the Jazz Museum.
French visitors joined local supporters for the Krewe of Joan of Arc parade, where 20 Rotarians marched as monks carrying story boards depicting Joan’s life. A towering backdrop of Orléans Cathedral delighted our guests, who agreed: New Orleans knows how to celebrate.
Capucine and her family shared heartfelt thanks for the warmth, generosity, and friendships formed during the visit — a reminder of Rotary’s power to build lasting connections across continents.
