Jay Hakes is a current member of the New Orleans Rotary Club, who before returning to the Crescent City served as Administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration in Washington and Director of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta. He recently completed his third book on U.S. energy and environmental history – The Presidents and the Planet: Climate Change Science and Politics from Eisenhower to Bush.
