This Week's Speaker
Aug 17, 2022
World Trade Center Of New Orleans
World Trade Center Of New Orleans

Louisiana businessman J. Edwin (Ed) Webb is the Chief Executive Officer of the World Trade Center New Orleans (WTCNO) where he manages and sets the strategic direction for this global trade association.

Webb previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the World Trade Center Kentucky (WTCKY). During his tenure at the WTC-KY, the organization expanded its trade education program offerings to include a regionally recognized trade certification series, forged a partnership with the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky to design and conduct its first ever global training classes to its undergraduate students and MBA candidates, a program which has since expanded to four other Universities across the State, implemented the Center’s Trade Advisory Services division and has negotiated new business partnerships with government, business and trade associations across the region.

Webb is a regular speaker and has served on numerous panel discussions on international trade. His speaking

Ed’s business and international experience includes his role as the founding Executive Director of the Frazier Museum. While with the Frazier, he traveled extensively to the United Kingdom (UK) and negotiated with the British Royal Armouries to create a long-term collections loan agreement between the Armouries and the Frazier. This historic agreement was the first international collections loan of its kind outside the UK.  Webb’s international experience includes his work in the United Kingdom, France, Argentina, Canada and Dubai, India and in Cuba.

Ed is a graduate of the University in Louisville and holds a Master of Business Administration from Bellarmine University. He obtained his MBA while training and studying in Moscow and in Perm, Russia. He has served as a guest instructor at both universities and formerly served on the adjunct staff of Bellarmine University.

Big Game Raffle
Once again, our club will participate in selling Big Game Raffle tickets.  The proceeds from the ticket sales are used to fund our charitable initiatives.  It’s really a fun way to donate to worthy causes.   There is a great list of prizes including tickets to LSU, Saints and Pelican home games.  The tickets are still only $20 each with 100% of the money going to service projects.  There is a good chance to win one of over 40 prizes.  Tickets will be available at our weekly meeting or by mail if you prefer.

Please make checks payable to Rotary Club of New Orleans and mail with stubs to:
