This Week's Speaker
Aug 30, 2023
6840 Mental Health Initiative
6840 Mental Health Initiative

Bay St. Louis native, Mr. Chris Estrade began his career with Hancock Whitney Bank, then Hancock Bank, in November of 2005. During his 17 year career with the bank, he has served as a Direct Banking Associate, Financial Center Manager, Retail Area Manager, and currently serves as Vice President of Business Banking in Gulfport.

As a Business Banker, Estrade has the opportunity to work with start-up and emerging business owners and managers to develop plans to help them achieve their goals and maximize their return on investment. He assists businesses in attaining financing and helps them facilitate use of deposit accounts, treasury, merchant and card services to suit their individual needs.

Estrade enjoys serving his community and looks for opportunities to give back. He is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Gulfport, a 101 year old organization which focuses on service as its mission. He also serves as the Small Business and Economic Development Chair for the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Finance Committee for the Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland Affiliate. He was recently recognized as 2023 Gulfport School District Community Partner of the Year for his work in facilitating and teaching financial education and literacy within the school district.

Mr. Estrade holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from William Carey University. He is married to Betsey Sawyer Estrade, an investment advisor with Trinity Investment Services in Gulfport. They reside in Pass Christian and are blessed with four children: Jackson, Andrew, Noah and Elizabeth Claire. They attend our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.

The Four Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:
Of the things we think, say or do:

1.     Is it the TRUTH?

2.     Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3.     Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4.     Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
