This Week's Speaker
Jun 17, 2026

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and his team have led Louisiana tourism to record-breaking success, driven by a deep commitment to celebrating and promoting the state’s one-of-a-kind culture, food, music, and natural beauty. A lifelong businessman and problem-solver, he brings a private-sector approach to government, helping him to earn recognition as one of Louisiana’s most passionate and dedicated public servants.

Since taking office in 2016, Lt. Governor Nungesser has worked tirelessly to elevate Louisiana on the global stage, while championing causes like protecting our Louisiana seafood industry, overcoming our state’s litter problem, and offering a neighborly hand to others in times of need through volunteerism. It’s those positions that led him to be re-elected to a third term as Lt. Governor in 2023 with more votes than any other elected official for the second election cycle in a row.

Lt. Governor has dutifully served this state and its people through many major events from devastating hurricanes and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to times of celebration like countless Mardi Gras events and Tournament of Roses Parades. Whether he’s promoting big cities or rural communities; beautifying state parks or main streets; or talking to one Louisianian or 1000… his mission remains the same: to make Louisiana a better place.

Rotary Connects

We have started our ROTARY CONNECTS non-profit promotion project in an effort to expand the visibility of our Club and to promote New Orleans non-profit organizations across Greater New Orleans.  We are encouraging each of you to submit the names of New Orleans non-profits that you believe our Club could help to promote.  The ROTARY CONNECTS project seeks to build area-wide support for improving the quality of life in the City of New Orleans and the surrounding area.  Please reach out to us at our Club meetings or contact us directly with your ideas.  Norman Robinson -  misalmas@aol.com or at 504-650-0875.  Lucas Morehouse - LHMorehouse@gmail.com or at 504-494-2729.  Carole Neff - cneff@sessions-law.com or at 504-582-1519.

Call for Speakers
The Program Committee is seeking members who are interested in helping coordinate speakers for our upcoming meetings. This is a great opportunity to get involved, share ideas, and help shape the engaging programs our club is known for.

We’re also seeking input from all members on the types of speakers and topics you’d like to see in the months ahead. Your suggestions are valued and appreciated!

Please forward all ideas or your interest in joining the committee to Seth Nehrbass snehrbass@gmail.com
The Four Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:
Of the things we think, say or do:

1.     Is it the TRUTH?

2.     Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3.     Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4.     Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
