Amanda has served as executive director of Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana since 2009. Part of the organization since 2002, she began as the public education assistant. From there, she was promoted to director of programs and director of operations before her current position.

Amanda is responsible for strategic planning, management of all programs and services, policy and procedure development, grant writing and financial management of PCA Louisiana. She also develops partnerships with businesses, state agencies and nonprofits.

An authorized facilitator of Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children program and the Nurturing Parenting Program, Amanda is also a trained KIDLINE counselor.

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospital’s Office of Behavioral Health, Children and Family Services appointed Amanda to serve on the Young Child Wellness Collaborative, a cross-section of leaders who work on improving systems and informing state policies and procedures. She is a member of the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board, Erin’s Law Task Force, the Executive Director’s Roundtable of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the Baton Rouge regional Child Death Review Panel and Community Action Team.

In 2015 Amanda received the John W. Barton Excellence in Nonprofit Management Award from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.

Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in family, child and consumer sciences from Louisiana State University. She is married and a mother of three children.
