On Monday, November 12, there will be a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service for DG Ken Thompson. The service will be held at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 360 Robert Blvd., Slidell, at noon.
Ken suffered a fatal heart attack on Saturday evening, November 3. One of his many service endeavors was ShelterBox - founded by a Rotarian, and officially affiliated with Rotary, to provide relief in areas experiencing natural or man-made disasters.
In lieu of flowers, Ken's family would appreciate that donations "In Memory of DG Ken Thompson" be made to ShelterBox - ShelterBox USA, 7359 Merchant Court, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34240.
