At last week's meeting, we heard from Rob Gaudet of Ground Force Humanitarian Aid, who has partnered with our Rotary District 6840 to create a simple way for Rotarians—and their friends and families—to be alerted to volunteer opportunities after a disaster.

The process has been greatly simplified. Any Rotary member, spouse, partner, friend, or relative can register. Each District 6840 Club has its own team within the platform.
How it works:
After registering, you’ll be notified (by email and/or text) of volunteer opportunities when disasters occur.
Opportunities may range from manual labor to phone support, organizing people, or providing resources.
You can choose to accept or decline each opportunity—there’s no obligation.
Hopefully, we won’t face a disaster this year—but if we do, this platform will help mobilize us quickly and effectively.
