Adopt-a-Street

The Rotary Club of New Orleans has adopted one block of Poydras Street with the aim of keeping it litter free and full of healthy plants.
For added visibility in the central business district, the Rotary Club of New Orleans is maintaining a portion of Poydras Street near the club's meeting location at Harrah's Hotel & Casino. Club members and other volunteers, in cooperation with Parkway Partners of New Orleans, have committed to keeping this space free of litter and full of beautiful plants and shrubs. Service Project chair, John Olinde, invites everyone to get involved even if you do not have a green thumb! The assignment calendar details who is responsible for each week.
If you are unable to be there in person, please see to it that your week is covered. It can also be a great way to partner with other Rotarians, other organizations and youth groups for a worthwhile project.
