The Environmental & Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program: A Holistic Approach to Job Training

Eva Benoit Ashford began her twenty-eight-year tenure with the Environmental & Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program (ECPAP) as the program coordinator.  Benoit Ashford was responsible for developing and implementing the holistic program curriculum including life skills, job readiness, financial literacy, trade vocabulary, trade math, environmental justice awareness and construction skills training.  Benoit Ashford also developed a stakeholder advisory board for the program and a long-term tracking process for program graduates.  In her current role as essential skills instructor Benoit Ashford provides life skills, construction job readiness, financial literacy, trade vocabulary and trade math instruction. 

Benoit Ashford previously worked in adult education as an adjunct instructor at Tulane and Loyola Universities.  She holds an MBA from Tulane University.
