Society of St. Vincent de Paul New Orleans

Michael Bourg has been working in the non-profit sector for over 35 years. His nonprofit experience runs the gamut of leading both small and large organizations, shepherding 9 capital campaigns, leading fundraising, communications and crisis communication operations. He has taught both fundraising and communication strategies across the globe from India to South Africa to Poland. Over the span of his career he has raised over $150 million to support the missions.

He has been a member of this Club for 22 years serving as President in 2013-2014 and as an Assistant District Governor for two years. Currently, Mike serves as the President of NORFI. 

In his present role as the Executive Director of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul New Orleans, Mike leads the Society's 500+ volunteers to assist people with emergency housing, utility, food, and burial assistance across seven civil parishes. 

He is married to Dr. Florence Bourg and they have four children -- all successfully out of the house!
