Terri Landry has worked since 1978 as a television writer and producer for network, cable and public television. She holds an undergraduate degree in art history/anthropology and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois. In 1999 she won an award from the American Association of State and Local History for the WYES documentary Irish New Orleans. In 2002 Landry received Best Documentary from the New Orleans Press Club for Northshore Stories, a one-hour look at the people and history of St. Tammany Parish. She was honored at the Louisiana Women’s Summit in 2011 with a Pathfinder’s Award for her work as an independent filmmaker.
As a writer and producer for Public Television Landry has produced seventeen national cooking series, as well as a series of documentaries exploring the ethnicity and cultural history of the Crescent City. Most recently she wrote and produced Tom Benson: The Life and Legacy of a New Orleans Saint. Currently she is at work on a third cooking series featuring Chef Kevin Belton.
