Bob Vaughn, Rotary District

Bob Vaughn is the Principal at Ocean Steamship Agency Inc, a Management, Sales and Marketing Consultancy, since 1992. He has accepted employment during that time, living and working principally in the oil and gas sector in the United States, West Africa, Asia and Europe. Currently he represents French companies with US based clients that have global interests.

Bob is a retired Colonel from the Air Force Reserve where he was a fighter pilot flying F-100s and F-4C aircraft. He then served in a progression of leadership positions in the Logistics field and retired as the Director of Support for the Louisiana Air National Guard.

Bob has served as Executive Director of the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE) for ten years. AADE is a professional industry organization with over 7,000 members across the United States.

Bob has served the Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend as Foundation Chair and President 2016-17. He has served on the District staff as District Grants Chair and DDF Chair and as Deputy Governor for the Louisiana Territories. He was the District Paul Harris Society Coordinator and has recruited numerous members to the PHS. He has served on the Audit Committee and as a Facilitator for Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI), having graduated from that program. He has served on several grants committees and has spoken at numerous clubs on Foundation and Grants topics. Bob is a Major Donor, Benefactor and Paul Harris Society member. He has been elected District 6840 Governor for the 2021-2022 Rotary year.

Bob serves as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and member of the Parish Council and Finance Committees at his church, has three grown children and eight grandchildren. He is engaged to CJ Jumonville, his Rotary sponsor. CJ has four children, is Past President of the Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend and has been Deputy Governor for Membership for several years. The Club was awarded the Presidential Citation and Club of the Year (Small Club) in both CJ’s and Bob’s years. Both have been Club or District Rotarians of the Year.
