New Orleans Tourism and Conventions

Kelly Schulz is the Senior Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for New Orleans & Company, the city’s official destination sales and marketing organization. Kelly is a New Orleans native who returned home following Hurricane Katrina in 2006 and again during the pandemic in 2020 to help restore New Orleans’ economic engine of tourism.

She started her career 25 years ago at Edelman, which is where she found her love of the travel industry. She also served as Director of Communications for Meeting Professionals International and as Vice President of CEO Operations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which treats children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Kelly graduated from LSU in 1997 with degrees in psychology and mass communication.

Outside of work, Kelly is busy as a first-time mom, having recently adopted a teenager.
