Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser
Louisiana tourism

Billy Nungesser joins us today as the 54th Lieutenant Governor of the state of Louisiana. He is also the incoming Chairman of the National Lieutenant Governors Association where he continues to keep Louisiana in the spotlight on a national stage.

Since taking office in 2016, he continues to do more with less. Over the past three years, tourism numbers have flourished, year after year, despite both budget and staff cuts.

Prior to this position as head of the State’s Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, he was the President of Plaquemines Parish from 2006 to 2014. Nungesser knows the spotlight well from the role he played in securing hurricane relief funds for Plaquemines Parish and as the voice of frustration after the BP Oil Spill. As a result of his hard work and dedication during those troubling times, he’s been coined the “hardest working man in Louisiana” by the national media.

He truly is a man for all of Louisiana. Ladies and gentlemen, here is your Lieutenant Governor, Billy Nungesser.
