Volunteer opportunity to help Sound the Alarm. Save a Life – American Red Cross

Our New Orleans Rotary is partnering with the American Red Cross and other volunteer groups across our city who have committed to making our New Orleans neighbors safer from home fires.  At 10am on May 12^th, in the Irish Channel, volunteers will join Red Cross in canvassing neighborhoods, install smoke alarms, and create family escape plans.   Event details are below.  We hope you will come out and join our club membership to support this life saving effort.

When: May 12^th (10am-1pm)

Where: 802 Third St (Irish Channel) Grace and Glory Family Worship Church

What to expect:  A 30 min training, team and street assignments, walking streets and knocking on doors to determine the need to install smoke alarms and for family disaster plans, refreshments/snacks and volunteer appreciation
