American Red Cross Sound the Alarm

During the months of April and May (specifically April 8^th – May 8^rd) American Red Cross of Louisiana will hosts a virtual educational program across the city of New Orleans in attempt to telephone more than 1000 families in high fire risk neighborhoods and teach residents fire safety and hurricane preparedness.  The New Orleans Fire Department will install free smoke alarms to residents in need of alarms.  The Rotary Club of New Orleans is scheduled for 2 shifts on Friday, April 30^th from 10 am - 1:00 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm to make phone calls.  All volunteers are required to complete Red Cross training for this event through Pre-recorded Training or Script Training prior to April 30^th.
