This summer local children and families will be having fun with water at the new Ladner Rotary Splash Park in Ladner’s Memorial Park thanks in part to a donation of $5,000 from Sunnyside Produce Ltd.
Accepting a cheque for $5,000 from Jos Moerman (second left), to help sponsor the Ladner Rotary Splash Park, opening this summer, is Irene Forcier with fellow Rotary Club of Ladner members (l to r) Bridget Jacob, Peter Roaf and Patricia Sibley

Sunnyside Produce Ltd., one of six greenhouse producers which have contributed to the splash park project along with the rest of the local farming community, produces bell peppers at its large facility on Ladner Trunk Road, near the intersection of Highway 99.

The company has a second, similar sized facility in Surrey. The company’s produce can be found in various large grocery story outlets in this area and is also shipped to California.

The $650,000 Ladner Rotary Splash Park is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Ladner, with the support of several sponsors and donors, and the City of Delta. The theme of the water play area will honour our farming heritage.
