The Rotary Club of Kapaa is gearing up for the 29th Annual Taste of Hawaii "The Ultimate Sunday Brunch™" to take place on Sunday June 4, 2017. Taste of Hawaii was not only the first event of its kind in the Islands; it has consistently been a statewide favorite attracting more than 2,000 attendees annually.
Voted the "Best Community Event" on Kauai the last ten years running, the event will once again take place at Smith's Tropical Paradise in Wailua, Kauai, Hawaii. We are so excited to partner with Malama Auctions who are hosting our online silent auction. We know many of you have bid on our auctions in the past and we hope you will embrace our new contemporary system. You can view the items on your laptops, phones, Pads and bid generously. You will be able to pick up your items while attending this year's Taste of Hawaii or after the event.
Along with providing a delectable afternoon, our event raises much-needed funds for over a dozen non-profit organizations that rely on the Rotary Club of Kapaa’s financial support. In addition, our club has sponsored and taught Junior Achievement classes all over the island. We helped the Boys and Girls Club's Kapaa Clubhouse install solar air-conditioning. We awarded $8,000 in scholarships to high school seniors. We adopted 33 teachers through the adopt-a-teacher program at Kapaa Elementary and continued our support of water safety on Kauai by sponsoring both a Roving Patrol for Kapaa’s beaches and updating our Water Safety video at the airport! The more we earn, the more we give and the more we can make a difference to those in need! Bid generously and help the Rotary Club of Kapaa give back to our community.
