Exchange Student Update:
Mila told us a little about her trip to Williamsburg, Virginia.  She enjoyed Colonial Williamsburg and especially Busch Gardens.  She also recently had her first swim meet.

Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
- Bob Yost had “a big Happy Buck for Cheryl Ford.”
- Nancy took a trip to Charlotte, NC
- Cheryl took a trip to NYC.
- Eric had a happy buck for the Bills’ victory over Cleveland
- Anne also had a happy buck for Cheryl.  She also had a scarf to pass on to President Dianne.
- Vicky offered a buck for having had the honor of being in two parades over the last week.
- Bob Sloan had happy bucks for the Bills’ win, the district golf tournament, and because in youth football all 4 Pal-Mac teams won.
- Several members were fined a dollar each for not displaying the Rotary symbol.  (The dinner badge did not count.)

Notes and Updates for the Club:
• We received thank you notes from the National Foundation for Transplants on behalf of Jim Handville, and from Marie Cramer (the Butterfly Trail in Macedon).
• The Naples Rotary Club is hosting the 28th Annual Appreciation Dinner and Benefit for Camp Onseyawa.  The event is Saturday, October 27 at Bristol Mountain Resort.  Dinners are $35 per person.  Deadline for reservations is October 17.  More details are available, and reservations can be made, at the Naples club website here.
• The 2012 Eastern Cities Fellowship Dinner will be held Sunday, November 4 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.  Reception & Social Hour starts at 4pm followed by dinner at 5:00pm.   Cost is $43 per person until October 16.  After that, cost is $47 per person.  Please contact Dianne if you plan to attend.
•  Rotary Leadership Institute will be held November 3rd at the Canandaigua Inn on the Lake.
•  Our club’s Rotary Reads schedule is being finalized with the school.  If you have an interest in participating in this worthwhile activity, please contact Dianne.
•  The club Christmas Party will be December 19 at Parkwood Heights.
•  The Murder Mystery Dinner is tentatively scheduled for February 16
•  Dictionaries and Thesauruses have arrived.  We are working on setting a date for their distribution.
•  Reminder for those who signed up for it - the Rotary excursion to the Bills game is October 21.  Cost is $75 per ticket.  Please pay either Eric or Tom.

Assembly Auction:
- Anne Morrell had the high bid on a Movie Night package, donated by Deb LeMoyne.
- Bob Sloan won the bidding on an indoor/outdoor remote thermometer, donated by Cheryl Ford.
- Deb LeMoyne won a set of thermal bottles, also donated by Cheryl Ford.
- Joan Shaffer, Nancy Schrader, and Cheryl Ford each won the bidding on home-made pies, baked by Terri Hopkins.

- Jeff Johncox won the exempt button for October.

Shirley Bassage won $9 in the 50/50 drawing, and she passed it on to Mila.
