Birthdays / Anniversaries:
Arnie Pechler turned 58 on Sunday (9/22).
Bob Ike’s son had a birthday on the 23rd.

Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
• Gary Hopkins attended the Clements’ party and won a prize for guessing how many elbow macaroni were on the string; he was off by one.
• Margaret had a happy buck for Dianne, who did a great job with the parking (in the rain) at the Purple Painted Lady’s sale.
• Bob Sloan echoed Margaret’s happy buck and also announce that his “C” team remains undefeated, although they have allowed a score now.  Further, he is proud that all the players who started out on the team are still with it, and no injuries.
• Vicky shared that the Palmyra Marina’s “Harbor Host” project has been successful.  They started in June with 4 volunteers; they lost one, but are now at 19 volunteers.
• Gene was sad to say the Yankees are done for this year, but he’ll be rooting for Cleveland now.

Notes and Updates for the Club:
- Save the date: the club Christmas Party is scheduled for December 18 at Parkwood Heights in Macedon.  Further details have yet to firmed up, but we needed to book a date while we could.

- Reminder:  October 30 is the new date of DG Ellen Hughes’ official club visit.  Please plan to attend; we always have a good crowd for the DG visit.

- At a previous meeting, a sign-up sheet was passed to gauge interest in polo shirts, aprons, etc.  We now have prices. The cost will be $20 for the polo shirt with our club name and Rotary wheel.  You may have your name embroidered on your shirt for an additional $3.  If you would like to replace your apron or add to your collection of Rotary aprons, these will be available for $16.50.  The sign-up sheet will make the rounds again; please indicate if you are still interested and pay Tom.

- Our Canaltown Days prize drawing results are now in.  Winners’ names were posted in last week’s bulletin.  We raised $1,285 with this event this year.

- As mentioned above, some of our club members performed parking duties at the Purple Painted Lady barn sale last Saturday.  Their efforts on a soggy, rainy day were not in vain; they raised $1,435.  Great job!

- Rotary Leadership Institute takes place at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua, Saturday, November 2.  Registration form is available here.

- The District Foundation Bruch will be held on Sunday Nov. 10th at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva. The cost will be $29 and more details will be available soon.
