The Plot:
Anyone who is anyone on this side of the Erie Canal is at the Hospitality House, the speakeasy owned by Louie and Diamond Jim.  Undoubtedly, with his ties to the biggest and most powerful mob boss in the area, no one would dare turn down Louie's invitation.  He wants to celebrate the opening of his new grocery store, where he intends to capture everyone's business.

But not everyone coming to the speakeasy is there to celebrate.  There are sub-plots on top of sub-plots, but one thing is for sure:  No one is there because they like Louie!

The Characters:
Louie "the Grocer" Marinara: Co-owner of the Hospitality House, Louie has recently opened a new grocery store, which sees a lot of money going through the registers.

Rosie Marina:  Louie's wife and hostess of the Hospitality House.  She is a lot more cunning and business-wise than her husband gives her credit for.  She was running the speakeasy long before she married Louie.

Diamond Jim:  Co-owner of the Hospitality House.  He handles most of the complicated business issues that Louie and Rosie won't dirty their hands with.  Lately, there have been quite a few "complicated business issues."

Marco "the Fish" Clemente:  Notorious mob boss in the Palmyra area.  He runs all the action down at the marina.  He can often be found with his bodyguards down at the Muddy Waters Cafe.  He doesn't appreciate Louie muscling in on any of his gains.  The Muddy Waters does just fine for his cash flow.

Darcy "Too Tall" Capone:  The Macedon mob boss, she heads up the biggest brothel in all of Wayne County.  Once in love with Marco, Darcy can't stand to look at him - let alone smell him.  She figures to forge some sort of alliance with Louie and Rosie.

Lily "Boots" O'Malley:  She's been Too Tall's lieutenant for years.  Too Tall rescued Lily from the clutches of Marco several years ago, when she was the cigarette girl at the Muddy Waters.  She has no love for Marco.

Honey Divine:  The Madam for all of Too Tall's brothels.  She works closely with Boots and Too Tall to find the best looking dames this side of the Erie Canal.

Summer Knight:  Singer at the Hospitality House and all-around gorgeous dame.  She once was one of Too Tall's girls, but got away from that life when Louie hired her sing at the Hospitality House.  Reportedly, Marco is carrying a torch for her and is trying to woo her away to come perform at the Muddy Waters.

Bart Ender:  A renowned talent scout, he's visiting the speakeasy looking for some local talent to take back to Chicago.  He's always on the lookout for "the next big thing."

Tommy Gunn:  Second-billed at the speakeasy, Tommy's got some of the quickest feet in town.  He never stops tap-dancing.  This, however, is not Tommy's only line of business, as his name might suggest.

Alistair McQueen:  Agent for the FBI.  He makes frequent visits to the area speakeasies, but seems never to have sent anyone to the Big House.
