Kim Brooks introduced Nicole Caruso, the Marketing and Leasing Director at Parkwood Heights.
Nicole relayed information about what is available at Parkwood and explained about the differences in levels of care.  A senior living facility has no services.  Parkwood is what is called an Enriched Living community.  Residents are able to get around on their own and have a traditional apartment style living with full kitchen or even townhome or patio home availability. Assisted Living facilities have no kitchen in the apartments and clients may have need for occasional assistance .Skilled nursing facilities are for those who are non-ambulatory and cannot toilet themselves.  There are also Memory Care facilities for those with memory loss.  These people may forget to eat or bathe or may wander around.
Nicole then went on to explain benefits available to our veterans.  Three times per year there is a Veteran’s  Luncheon at Parkwood to help veterans better understand what services are out there.  Nicole hopes to make Parkwood Heights a hub for local vets.  She offered anyone to call her for information.  This includes wartime and peacetime veterans.
