Mary Rutkowski fell and was hurt.

Singing:
Kim sang the verses, and we provided the chorus as we sang about some Pal-Mac Rotarians getting stuck in a lavatory.

Birthdays / Anniversaries:
Bob and Joy Ike’s anniversary was last week.

Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
• Mary Courtney was happy with the support received for the Rehema Walk; they raised $4,000.
• Mark thanked Gene Bassage for the projector stand, which was hand-crafted by Gene.  Thanks to Gene’s ingenuity, there will be no more hand cramps for the poor soul drafted to hold the projector.
• Jim Murray pitched in one not-so-happy buck for each of the NY Giants’ losses this season.
• Dianne gave a buck on Bob’s behalf for his famous C Team, which remains undefeated.  Also, she was happy that he had booked a massage for her as a surprise.

Notes and Updates for the Club:

- Reminder:  October 30 is the new date of DG Ellen Hughes’ official club visit.  Please plan to attend; we always have a good crowd for the DG visit.

- At a previous meeting, a sign-up sheet was passed to gauge interest in polo shirts, aprons, etc.  We now have prices. The cost will be $20 for the polo shirt with our club name and Rotary wheel.  You may have your name embroidered on your shirt for an additional $3.  If you would like to replace your apron or add to your collection of Rotary aprons, these will be available for $16.50.  The sign-up sheet will make the rounds again; please indicate if you are still interested and pay Tom.

- Rotary Leadership Institute takes place at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua, Saturday, November 2.  Registration form is available at this link.

- The District Foundation Bruch will be held on Sunday Nov. 10th at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva. The cost will be $29 and more details will be available soon.

- The board of directors has received and approved membership proposal for Dave Stachnik and Jim Murray.  Club rules require this to be published in two newsletters, allowing current members the opportunity to make comments to the board.

- The Palmyra Fire Department, Palmyra Library, and Pal-Mac Schools are sponsoring “Pancakes and Paperbacks” at the Palmyra Fire Hall Sunday, October 27 from 7am – noon.  Pancake breakfast, story time and library cards will be offered.  Cost is $6 for adult, $5 for children (5-12).  Children under 5 admitted free.

Jim Murray won $16 in this week’s 50/50 drawing.
