Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:

- Bob Sloan pitched in a happy buck in gratitude to the people who helped to make this a successful year for Pal-Mac Youth Football and Cheer.
- Dave Pray had a buck for the timely arrival of his birth certificate, needed to get his passport, needed to visit his daughter Betsy, who is studying in England.
- Kim got to spend 3 whole days with her granddaughter.
- Joan spent a couple of weeks in Pittsburgh. Her brother came to visit Joan and her sister there.  She went to Ohio for lunch with her aunt.  Oh, and the Steelers won a game or two.
- Deb offered a happy buck in gratitude for all the compassion and support given to her and Craig by the members of this club.  She wants us to know it is truly appreciated.  We love ya, Deb!
- Bob Yost had a happy buck for Eric and Edie Chapman for their hospitality and all the preparation that goes into the annual Bills game excursion.  It was a close game, and a good time was had by all.
- Cindy put her happy buck in the Polio jar, adding it was just nice to be here.
- Eric’s son ran in a marathon, and Eric’s SF Giants are in the World Series.  (Sure hope they do well!)
- Cortney put in a buck just because she missed us all so much!
- Bill confessed to his trip to Europe; said he had to go as Homeland Security asked him to keep Pam safe.
- Jim Bush spent 7 days in a car with Mrs. Bush.  Both survived.
- Gene visited what was left of the booth at the Fairgrounds.  It has been stripped of all equipment, and is draftier than ever (see photo).
- Dick’s grandson got married.  Dick and Mickey spent the weekend at the hotel; it was “sort of a second honeymoon.”
- Anne also had a buck for the Bills game trip, plus some quality grandma time.

Notes and Updates for the Club:

• RLI sign-ups for the Inn on the Lake have been closed, as the session is full.  Those interested in attending RLI are encouraged to check the District website, as there are sessions available nearby in the spring.
• The Interact club will be doing a dog-supply drive in November, to benefit Second Chance Rescue.
• Wednesday, October 31 is the deadline for Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle sales.  Please bring any monies collected to Kim at the Club Assembly that day.  Also, if you signed up to donate any food items; please bring those at that time.

Milena Koziarska, our exchange student from Poland was our featured speaker today.  She was really looking forward to this presentation, and in fact had it completed before she even left Poland.  One of her interests is film production, and that inspired her to make her presentation as a video.  After a brief introduction created by Mila, the video presents “An Animated History of Poland” from the World Expo 2010, with Mila narrating.  More of Mila’s own animation followed, providing more cultural information about her home country.  The entire video was well-made and well-received by the club.  Good job, Mila!

In a rare twist, Shirley won the 50/50.  She donated her winnings ($13) to Mila.
