What’s New with Sofia?
This week, there was a cheer competition.  Pal-Mac’s JV and Varsity both won.  She went to the Bills game on Sunday with the PM Rotary group.  It was really cool and cold!
She says she is doing well in classes and all is good.

Birthdays and Anniversaries:
Dianne and Bob Sloan’s anniversary was yesterday.
Cheryl and Dennis Ford’s anniversary is today.

Fines, Happy Bucks and Confessions:
• Bob Sloan had a happy buck for a great time at the Bills game.  Also, he attended a meeting of the Gorham Rotary Club, on behalf of Camp Onseyawa.  At that meeting, they pressed cider, which was fun.
• Anne donated some money for winning the TV at the Canaltown Days drawing.  Also, she will be going to Boston to visit her grandson.
• Bob Yost happy-bucked for the great time at the Bills game, and in appreciation of the hard work Eric and Edie put into organizing the outing.
• Eric wanted to give a happy buck for the Bills game, but didn’t.  The game was not good, and he and Gary couldn’t get into the stadium because their tickets were bogus.  He did have a happy buck for Kyle, though.  Kyle is 29 miles from the end of his hike along the Appalachian Trail.  Right after today’s meeting, Eric and Edie are heading to Springer Mountain, GA to pick up Kyle.
• Peter also thanked Eric and Edie for their work on the Bills game.  He brought his kids to their first NFL game, where they had a terrific time despite the weather.

News and Announcements for the Club:
- Beginning with next week’s meeting, lunch will be available beginning at 11:55.   This will allow you to check in and pay, then immediately hit the buffet line.  It is our hope that this will speed things along for our meetings.
- Amber Jenkins thanked us on behalf of the American Legion for our donation of a refrigerator for use in their kitchen.  Their cooler recently went down, and Mark was able to acquire a refrigerator at an auction.
- Anne is looking for someone to sit on a scholarship board for the Dare to Dream travel scholarship.  Pal-Mac graduate Joshua Ford has put together a scholarship and is seeking a board member who could attend 2 or 3 meetings per year in order to select a recipient for that scholarship.  If you’re interested, please contact Anne.
- Today was Tom Brighton’s last meeting with us.  Tom and Linda have completed their 3-year assignment at the temple and will be leaving soon to return to Utah.  Tom thanked us for our friendship and reminded us about a program for Mobil Chemical retirees.  Any retiree can designate a charity to receive $500 from Mobil upon completion of 40 hours of community service.  Each retiree can request up to $2500 each year.  Tom turned in paperwork for his 3rd request of the year, bringing the total donated on his behalf to $1500.
