Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:

-  Arnie had a happy buck for the good meal, as he has been to other Rotary club’s meetings, and our food is better.
-  Leslie gave a buck in thanks to Breen’s for their help with the pet supply collection Interact has been working on.  3 cartfuls were collected.
-  Dave Pray announced that Betsy was having her 20th birthday today and that he would be going to England to check in on her.
-  Joan was relieved to be able to offer a buck for the Steelers’ sloppy win, despite the injuries her team will be dealing with.
-  Anne spent some time in Boston.  At a Buffalo Bills bar in Boston, she ran into Dan Clement. Also, she got to spend a morning with her son who passed his driver’s exam.
-  Debbie had her first Rotary Reads session at the Palmyra school; it was fun!  Her son and his wife and their kids are moving to Guilderland, NY (near Albany), which is ten hours closer than they have been.  Also, Craig’s doctor cleared him to drive.  So, now he can leave when they drive each other nuts.
-  Gene was impressed by the fact that SU Basketball played a game on the deck of an aircraft carrier, and they beat San Diego State.
-  Mark had a happy buck for Roger’s 87th birthday.

Notes and Updates for the Club:

• Sign-up sheets were passed for:
     the Christmas Party to be held December 19 at Parkwood Heights in Macedon;
     Salvation Army bell-ringing at Breen’s December 7 – 16;
     and for distribution of the dictionaries and thesauruses at the Macedon school on Nov 30.
• Chase and Dianne spoke to English classes at the High School, in an effort to recruit contestants for the District Oratorical Contest.
• The District Vocal Contest is coming up in January.  Our club has found limited interest among the students in the past.  However, this year we will be sending 4 contestants.  Our meeting January 9 will be at the high school, where we will get to hear our contestants perform.

Cheryl Ford won $13 in the 50/50 drawing; she donated it to Polio Plus.
