Program

Pres. Gary reviewed some of the results of the Strategic Planning survey given out last week.  Discussions from these included the need for more new members   and how to go about getting them.  We need to be more relevant to attract younger members. We discussed the possibility of adding more night meetings and using social media to recruit younger members ie. Parents of school age children-GenXers.  Kim will try to communicate upcoming events via the Pal-Mac Families  web site.  Also brought up was the possibility of a satellite club if possible.  An example of this might be local educators getting together.  Our club would work with them and eventually help them become their own entity.
We agreed that we need to talk to community to find out their needs.  Chief Dave Smith suggested that we might be able to work with the police department on the Bicycle Rodeo and Child Safety seat programs they do.  It was also brought up that we used to do appreciation days for teachers and farmers.  Reinstating events like these might let more people see what Rotary does and garner new members.
