Program:

Eric Chapman introduced this week's speaker, Lu Kwan, a Fairport resident and former Xerox employee, who now serves as President of “Upstate New York Falun Dafa Association”. This not-for-profit organization, based in New York, exists to “revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture” through an exciting and fascinating stage presentation called “Shen Yun”. And, this program of classical Chinese dance and live orchestra will be coming to Rochester in January.

The speaker described this presentation as “much more than just music and dance”; it is a show  with uplifting energy which combines vivid and athletic classical Chinese dance with state-of-the-art animated backdrops that immerse the audience into the action.

The two-hour and fifteen minute show will be presented at Rochester's Auditorium Theatre in a limited, two-show engagement on January 28 and 29, 2017. The Saturday evening performance is at 7:30 p.m., while the Sunday matinee begins at 2:00 p.m.

You can learn more about this awe-inspiring performace on the website ShenYun.com/Rochester.
