Fines and Happy Bucks
President-Elect Leslie Vecchiotti is “happy” to (finally) have a Vice President for next year – Maurina Schmidt.
Leslie also enjoyed visit over Christmas from her brother and his family.
Brian Brooks is one of the few people to be “happy” for the sub-zero temperatures of the past week. He went ice fishing on Sodus Bay and caught a total of 71 Perch!
Jen Preston offered a dollar because she is “happy” to be back at Rotary.
Cindy Surline offered a”happy buck” because today is “puppy day” – she was off to pick up a new pure-pbred German Shephard puppy.
Dick Kirchhoff is glad to be back after three weeks “under the weather”. Welcome back, Dick!
Rollo Black also had a happy buck because his wife is getting over a bout with the Flu.
Rotary Announcements
President Gary offered congratulations to Maurina Schmidt, who has signed on to be our new Vice President next year.
The date for the Murder Mystery Dinner has been changed, with the new date to be determined. Watch for details via email from President Gary.
The annual Dessert Gala will be held at Parkwood Heights on Wednesday evening, February 7th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Cost for members is $5.00 (which will go to the Rotary Foundation); guests are free.
The annual Wayne County Rotary Spelling Bee will be held again this year at Wayne Central High School on Saturday, February 24th. Pat VerPlank is sponsoring the Club’s team this year.
Members are invited to help in assembling handicapped-accessible benches to be placed in Palmyra and Macedon parks in the spring. This is the Club’s Simplified Grant project for this year. The work party will be held at Clement’s on Saturday, March 24.
