• Joan thanked Tom for getting Canaltown prizes and tickets ready.


President Gary presented a check to Canaltown Days Chair Tom Klemann to sponsor the Art Show.
 
Announcements:  
- Gary read a thank-you from Fair Queen Sylvia DeMerrick for Rotary’s donation.
- Picnic table construction is scheduled for Sunday, October 8th. 
- The Canaltown Days Art Show (sponsored by our club) will be at the Library on the 3rd floor.
- Gene handed out perfect attendance pins:  Mark Kramer - 1 year, Peter Park - 8 years, Nancy Schrader - 9 years and Cheryl Ford - 26 years.
- Gene noted that pins will only be given in 5 year increments from now on.
- Leslie informed us that the Interact Club will be hosting a blood Drive on Thursday Oct. 26 at the high school.
- Gary needs auction items for the club assembly.
 
Program:

Rollo Black introduce Neil Pitts (c) to talk about the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
 
   Rollo introduced Neil Pitts, the President of the Hill Cumorah Pageant.  Neil noted the increased number of tour groups this year and the addition of the ice cream station.  Attendance was up around 2,500 this year.  Neil praised their social media leader Amanda Lonsberry for the great publicity the pageant got this year.  He showed 2 clips from the morning segment on Channel 13 showing costuming and stage production, noting the work crew for this ranges in ages from 16 to 18 years old.  Next year’s pageant will run from July 12 through July 21.
