DG Don Milton pins our newest club member Ann Young at her induction.

Program
District Governor Don Milton presented us this year’s banner - “Rotary Making a Difference” and recognized President Gary, Past-President Kim, Assistant Governor Pam Dean and Anne Morrell for their work with Rotary.  He promoted “Flex Your Club” – new rules to help advance membership by making meetings more flexible and reminded us of the need for a strategic plan for each club.
Don commended Pal-Mac Rotary for their participation in the Rotary Foundation.  He talked about Polio Plus and how the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation matched 2 to 1 Rotary’s donation of $150 million to Polio Plus.  The Gates’ Foundation gave $300 million for a total of $450 million!
He mentioned the upcoming district conference – the first weekend in May at Saratoga Springs and brought up Friendship Exchanges as great opportunity for cultural exchange.  We have a new program on Rotary Club Central to log in donations and volunteerism - “People of Action.”  We all need to better publicize what we do in Rotary.
He also noted that RI President Iain wants to work on environmental sustainability by planting trees.  The hope is that each member worldwide will plant a tree or sapling on April 22, 2018.
