Announcements:
The handicap-accessible tables are being built Sunday Oct. 8 at 10:00am at Clements. We will also be building one more for use at the fair after a suggestion from Vicky and Bill.
Rotary is invited to a Sept. 11 remembrance on Saturday, September 9 at 1:00pm at the Legion. This will also be a work day for a grant the Legion received for beautification of the Post Home from 8-3.
Dianne introduced Doris, from Taiwan (district 3461), who gave the club her Rotary banner and goodies – Pineapple cake which symbolizes Good Fortune.

Guests Bill and Dave discussed Canal NY Marketing and Business Alliance (website DiscoverNYS.com). 2017 is the Bicentennial of the canal; construction began in 1817 in Rome, NY. The Alliance created the web site DiscovertheErieCanal.com which has several links, including one to Palmyra. They mentioned that New York is committed to completing the canal trail by 2020.
