Bob Yost had a birthday “several weeks ago.”  Apparently, this was his first chance to tell us about it.

- Pam is pleased with how the cemetery urns came out, and so offered a buck.
- Bob Yost offered a happy buck in honor of his son, who is on a short deployment.

Announcements and other Club Business:

Cindy is looking for a volunteer who can help out by watering the cemetery urns.  Oh, Gary Hopkins volunteers, thinking he might occasionally be in the area.
Hill Cumorah – there are still 12 slots to fill.  Cindy sent the list via e-mail a couple weeks ago.  Please check that list to see if you can take on any more shifts, and contact Cindy ASAP.

Notes and Updates for the Club:
• The District Changeover Dinner will be held Wednesday, June 20, at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua.  More information is available on the district website here.
• Club’s Changeover Picnic will take place on Wednesday, June 27th, at Gravino Park in Macedon.  A sign-up sheet is making the rounds at meetings now.
• On August 1 our new District Governor, Gaven Hurley, will be making his official club visit.  Obviously, we would encourage a strong turnout for his visit.
• The club needs a volunteer to organize our monthly assembly auctions.  This involves arranging to have a couple or three items available for auction at the club assembly.  The money raised from the auction goes to the Rotary Foundation.  This rotary year we have raised almost $500 for the Foundation through this monthly event.

Our club murder mystery dinner this year raised $1150 for Camp ONSEYAWA.  Pictured

Gary Hopkins, who organized the event.

Karen Stewart spoke for a few minutes about the Relay for Life, which was to be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds June 1, and about some of the many ways the American Cancer Society helps cancer patients.

Lucille Hamlin from the Macedon Food Pantry was on hand to receive a check from our club, in the amount of $750.  The food pantries in our communities provide invaluable service to those in need, and we are proud to be able to help them accomplish their missions.

Foundation Auction:
Debbie LeMoyne had the winning bid on the Green Mountain Coffee, and Gary Hopkins was high bidder on a Strawberry Rhubarb pie.

Shirley Bassage won the 50/50.

Next meeting: Noon, June 6 at the Palmyra American Legion.
