Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
• Any member not wearing his or her dinner badge was fined $1.  (The fine was optional, however, since no one had a dinner badge – the American Legion Post was locked up so Gary couldn’t bring them.)
• Brian had a happy buck for the Rotary Reads musical, the proceeds of which went to support Literacy.  He had an additional happy buck for the nice porch-sitting weather we’ve had lately.
• Bob Sloan put in a happy buck also for Rotary Reads, which he says is one of the greatest projects we do.  He encourages you to get involved with it if you aren’t already.  It’s fun and the kids welcome you like a hero.  He says it’s “the bright spot of my week.”
• Pat offered a happy buck because she avoided a potentially costly scam.  She explained how someone had called and said her granddaughter was stuck in another country and needed money sent to her.  Pat talked herself out of sending any money, and when she checked with family she found out her granddaughter had never gone away.
• Maurina and John went to their camp last week.  There was some high water, but they go in some fishing and had a good time there.
