Notes and Updates for the Club:
-   The club’s annual changeover picnic will take place on Wednesday, June 24th at Gravino Park in Macedon.  Social hour begins at 5:30, with dinner to follow about 6:15.  Cost is $6 per person, plus a dish to pass; no charge for children 12 and under.  Sign up sheet is being passed at meetings, or contact Mark Clement.

-   The Camp Onseyawa golf tournament will be June 20 at Silver Creek Golf Course in Waterloo.  This annual event helps support our area’s camp for kids with special needs.  Entry fee is $400 per foursome, which includes greens fees and cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes.  Also available are Greens and Hole Sponsorships.  If interested, please see Bob Sloan for an entry form.

-  Cindy would like to pass along her thanks to Dick, Dianne, Kim, and Mark for their help with the cemetery urns last Wednesday.  20 urns at the Palmyra Village Cemetery have been refurbished and planted through their efforts.

-  There are still about 6 unfilled shifts for the Hill, mainly on the weekends.  Please contact Kim to see if you can help fill those shifts.

-  Jim Bush, Gary Haigh, and Eric Chapman pitched in to represent our club, cooking hot dogs at Macedon’s Memorial Day celebration.  300 hot dogs were served after the parade.

-   Rotary night at the Red Wings is August 1.  Rochester hosts Syracuse that evening.  See Bill Dean for more details, or visit the district website.

-  Eric is still accepting sign-ups for the Bills game September 20th, when the Bills will host the Patriots.  If you would like to attend and can make a firm commitment to do so, please e-mail Eric.

-  We have received confirmation from the District that our club’s District Simplified Grant request has been approved.  Benches for the Palmyra boat launch will be installed later this summer.

Visiting Pal-Mac senior Tommy Patnode tells us about himself and school.

•  Edie Chapman stopped in today to tell us about the Palmyra Summer Lunch program being offered for the first time this year.  Sponsored by Wayne ARC and hosted at the Palmyra Library, this program will offer free lunches to any child 19 and under.  The program will be offered Monday - Thursday from July 6 through August 6.  Volunteers are needed each day to transport the food from Newark to the library, to serve the lunches, and to return the coolers to Newark.  If you would like to help one or more days, there is a sign-up available online at http://doodle.com/d5rgugqngxp6hnnr or contact Edie Chapman or Rena Haigh.

•   This month, our assembly auction raised $87 for Polio Plus.  Thank you to Dianne Sloan, Tom Breen, and Kim Clement for donating items for the auction.  Also, thanks and congratulations to the winning bidders: Tom Brighton, Tom Breen, Joan Shaffer, and Bob Ike.
We also auctioned the exempt button for June, which Eric Chapman obtained with a winning bid of $10.

Kim may be on a lucky streak; she won $9 in this week’s 50/50 drawing, after winning last week’s 50/50 as well.
