Notes and Updates for the Club:
-  The District Assembly is Saturday April 13 at the Red Jacket High School in Shortsville.
-  The annual joint Lions/Rotary dinner takes place Tuesday April 16 at the Alling Coverlet Museum in Palmyra.  Guest speaker is Craig Schaller from WHAM 1180.  Meet and greet 6pm, dinner at 6:45.  Cost is $17 per person.
-  The Wayne County Rotary Spelling Bee, held last month, raised $4,300 for Wayne County Literacy Volunteers.
-  The district recently held training sessions about the new grants system.  Armed with this new information, our board of directors has approved a motion to seek a grant from the district.  This grant would be used to help Rehema Home, an orphanage in Kenya, expand.  You may remember Jonathan Schwandt’s visit to our club last April.  See story here.

Our monthly Foundation auctions continue to be successful.  At this month's assembly, we raised $42 from bids on items donated by Rotarians.  This month's auction items included a meat thermometer/fork, a delicious home-made crumb cake, salsa, and a hand-made basketball-themed pillow.  Thank you to all who bid and congratulations to the winners!
