Notes and Updates for the Club:

-  The District Assembly is Saturday April 13 at the Red Jacket High School in Shortsville.
-  The annual joint Lions/Rotary dinner takes place Tuesday April 16 at the Alling Coverlet Museum in Palmyra.  Guest speaker is Craig Schaller from WHAM 1180.  Meet and greet 6pm, dinner at 6:45.  Cost is $17 per person.
-  Kim and Mark are signing up people to solicit donations from county business for the fair booth project.

Mila and Leslie, in honor of their recent birthdays, gave a presentation about birthday celebrations around the world.  Mila asked her many exchange student friends, via Facebook, how they celebrated birthdays in their home countries.  Almost all said, we get together with family and friends and have cake.  Not extremely helpful.  She and Leslie put their heads together and came up several traditions from various countries, then put them to our members in the form of a quiz. It was a very entertaining program.  And it turns out family, friends, and cake are common elements of birthday celebrations around the world.
