Fines, Happy Bucks and Confessions:
• Mark offered happy bucks in thank for Bob Yost, who was at the RL Concessions tent every night it was open, plus set-up and tear-down.  This marks 6 years he’s been honoring his 2-year commitment.
• Mark also “finked” on Margaret, whose picture made the Times last week.  She was pictured dropping off food for the food pantry.
• Kim had 2 weeks with her granddaughter Sophia.  They went to Seabreeze, and Sophia also spent a day with all 7 of her cousins (all male).
• Dianne picked up Joey on July 10.  She was our inbound exchange student from Austria in 2011-12.  She has been staying with the Robsons and will next be staying with the Sloans for a couple of weeks.
• Bob Yost confessed to a new vehicle, “a truck – no more minivans!” says he.  Also, he has had a new wheelchair ramp installed at his business.  You may recall the previous ramp was made of wood, and suffered some damage during the winter.
• Leslie had a happy buck because she and others had a good time at the Morrells, where they got to hang out with Szabi and his parents.  Szabi was our exchange student from Hungary, 2013-14.
• Dick was unable to work at the Hill this year, so he confessed and fined himself.
• Peter felt guilty about not signing up for any shifts at the Hill this year, but had a long-planned vacation that week.  Unfortunately, he had to cancel that vacation when he received word that his grandmother was critically ill.  He was able to see her before she passed away on the 19th.
• Maurina confessed that she grabbed some unsold chicken dinners at the Hill last week, but forgot to pay for them!
• Gene offered up some happy bucks saying he and Shirley were glad to be back with us again.

Singing:
Kim led us in singing “Ding! Dong! The Pageant’s Done!” which celebrates the good times and hard work for RL Concessions at the Hill Cumorah Pageant, and reminds us that the Wayne County Fair is right around the corner.

Notes and Updates for the Club:
- District 7120 is seeking hospitality hosts for incoming governors-elect.  There are two terms: January 8 – 12 and January 12-16.  They need about 40 hosts (20 for each term).  More information is available at the district website (Clicky).

- Sign-ups for our booth at the Wayne County Fair are underway now.  Please try to sign up for at least two shifts.  Do not be afraid of the manager shift; it is mostly working the counter, being available to sign for a delivery, and providing continuity through the day.

- Tickets for this year’s Canaltown Day Drawing fundraiser will be distributed at the next two club meetings.  They will also be available for pick-up at the Fair Booth.

Our RYLA candidate, Shelby Hutton, spoke to the club today to recap her experience at RYLA.  Some of the highlights of her time there were learning about different styles of leadership, such as autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire.  She told about the rope swing team-building exercise they did, where all 25 students had to swing across a gap and land on a small platform, which barely had room for them all.  She mentioned a breakfast put on by the Rush-Henrietta club, where she got to meet DG Bill Gormont.  They did some improve and learned how to juggle (which is not the same as being able to juggle).  She passed around this year’s “yearbook” which she helped put together as a member of that committee.  Shelby clearly learned a lot from this experience, and with all the volunteer work she has been doing already, she is sure to be leader in the future.

Margaret Brooks was the winner of $8 in this week’s 50/50.

Next meeting – Club Assembly – Noon, July 29 at Parkwood Heights in Macedon.
